About

Audrey Young was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. During her time in Tucson she discovered her true passion for the arts. Starting at the young age of 8 when she played the little boy who wanted his two front teeth, in a Christmas pageant, Audrey knew she was meant for the stage.

Audrey's enjoyment of performance continued as she took summer theatre classes at the University of Arizona and even appeared in the Arizona Repertory Theatre's production of The Miracle Worker. Audrey graduated from University High School and made the decision to attend Northern Arizona University to pursue performance and obtain a B.S. in Theatre.

Upon arrival at NAU discovered not only her love for performing but for theatre in general. She began helping out with properties design, scenic painting, and house management. The second semester of her freshman year Audrey was cast as Mrs. Hill in Pride and Prejudice. After that she was cast everywhere in productions and has been in four mainstage productions during her time at NAU. While attending NAU Audrey had the opportunity to study theatre history, modern drama, voice and diction, Commedia dell' arte, Shakespearean acting, Strasberg and Meisner acting techniques, Stanislavski acting technique, directing techniques, stage makeup, painting and dyeing, and scenic design. Also while attending NAU Audrey has participated in several student films and stage readings.

She is a graduate from NAU and has currently studied the Meisner acting technique under Patricia McKee and the Stanislavski acting technique with Dawn Tucker.

Audrey Young is currently Emilia in Two Noble Kinsmen with Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival.
